Title : A different approach to hydropower: An eco-friendly approach (clean hydro production)

Abstract:

Hydroelectric power is considered a form of green energy. However, the system used to generate it has a significant impact on nature. Not only does it generally require substantial financial resources, but it also irreversibly alters the environment in which it is built (whether on land, through the occupation of agricultural land, for example, or at sea, through the disruption of aquatic life). In this paper, we present a new methodology based on an approach we have named CHP, which stands for Clean Hydro Production. This approach represents a new philosophy we are developing, which involves either generating electricity from hydropower without altering the morphology of watercourses (by using more environmentally friendly solutions such as tidal turbines and floating wheels), or to generate more energy from existing structures at a lower cost by utilizing discharge flowrate, for example. This new philosophy is a sustainable solution and aligns with environmentally friendly methods.
