Biodiesel Energy

Biodiesel Energy

Biodiesel energy is produced from renewable biological sources such as vegetable oils, animal fats, and used cooking oils. It is commonly used as a substitute or blend with conventional diesel fuel. Biodiesel is biodegradable, non-toxic, and produces lower emissions of particulate matter, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons. It can be used in existing diesel engines with little or no modification. Biodiesel energy supports energy diversification and reduces reliance on petroleum-based fuels. Sustainable feedstock selection is essential to minimize environmental impacts and land-use concerns. As part of renewable fuel strategies, biodiesel energy contributes to decarbonizing transportation and improving air quality.
