Efficient appliances, industrial equipment, building design, and energy management systems reduce energy demand and emissions. Energy efficiency lowers costs, improves energy security, and reduces environmental impact. It is one of the most cost-effective strategies for climate mitigation. Energy efficiency plays a central role in sustainable energy policies and long-term energy planning.
