Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground source heat pumps use shallow geothermal energy to provide efficient heating and cooling for buildings. They operate by transferring heat between the ground and indoor spaces through buried pipe systems. Because ground temperatures remain relatively constant year-round, these systems achieve high efficiency and low operating costs. Ground source heat pumps significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional heating systems. They are suitable for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. Although installation costs are higher than conventional systems, long-term energy savings and environmental benefits make ground source heat pumps a key technology for sustainable building energy systems.
