Hydropower Energy

Hydropower Energy

Hydropower energy is generated by converting the kinetic and potential energy of flowing or falling water into electricity. It is one of the oldest and most widely used renewable energy sources worldwide. Hydropower provides reliable, flexible, and low-carbon electricity and supports grid stability through fast response capabilities. It can be deployed at large, medium, or small scales, including run-of-river systems. Hydropower also supports water management, flood control, and irrigation. Environmental impacts such as ecosystem disruption and sedimentation must be carefully managed. Hydropower energy plays a crucial role in renewable energy portfolios and long-term energy security.
