Technologies such as solar, wind, and hydropower generally have much lower carbon footprints than fossil fuels. Reducing the carbon footprint involves improving manufacturing efficiency, using low-carbon materials, and enhancing recycling. Understanding renewable energy carbon footprints supports informed decision-making and climate policy development. Low-carbon renewable energy systems are essential for achieving net-zero emission targets and sustainable energy transitions.
